After a two-year break from climbing major peaks, I'm finally back, and this time I've reached the third highest on the list, Mt. Pulag. Situated on the border of the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya in the Philippines, it is also the tallest peak in Luzon, standing at 2,922 meters (9,606 feet) above sea level. There are 8 trails and the trail we went is Ambangeg Trail, the easiest one.

Actually this trip is not just to Hike Mount Pulag, we also visited Apo Whang-Od in Buscalan and quick Baguio Tour.

HOW TO GET THERE

We booked our flight from Davao to Manila and then from Manila, the Travel Agency (Werlawanders) prepared a Van transport for us going to Buscalan.

ACCOMMODATION

There is a homestay near the jumpoff area and it is included in our package with Werlawanders. We didnt bring tents as we were advised about the homestay but we prepared jackets, gloves, windbreaker as the temperature there is freezing cold.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

It was a surreal moment when I got to see the sea of clouds, it is one of a kind. The Sunrise, the layers of the mountains, the feeling, everything is perfect. I also got my very first tattoo from Apo whang-od's grand daughter. It is so good to live and to be able to visit these places.
